An extraordinary story in an Ordinary bus
4 o'clock winter time
Was getting colder
sun was losing its shine
Govindpur,in Jamshedpur...
I left Termi's home
at the bus-stop all alone
the bus arrived
n I Grabbed the last seat
Oh..journey...n me alone
45 minutes to beat...!!
Wheels moved just a couple of rounds
n it stopped again at screaming sounds
came a mob of gals
yelling n fighting.
out f the comess came a comely girl
just a look was enough to give me swirl
The hazel eyes grasped my sight
was losing myself but managed to hold uptight
Towards me were directed her moving feet
I took my jacket off the seat
just clearing d place
they all settled n c sat next 2 me
giving a company in my solace
But was talking to a friend ahead
I wanted 2 talk,but was a bit afraid
chilly evening
but was out of shower
n dressed in dark brown suit
blossoming like a flower
as i cud sense her wet skin
a few droplets on her chin
"Are u new here??
Last seat is 4 ladies"
C'mon exchange seat wid ma frnd
n dont u stare.."
She said in a burst.
Crap!! didnt wanna go anywhere
"dont see any mark " i said
u should put up sign board first
gave me a look n turned away
my beating heart started 2 sway
Its no lie its d veracity
her beauty lied in simplicity
in air i cud smell incessant scent
oh! i saw her but cant explain
what actually her beauty meant
she was no queen
but defining beauty of her own
For next 5 mins only d bus spoke
'r u really new 2 jsr??'
human silence finally c broke
'i am'
'u liked it??'
'people here r very nice n lively'
n d smile on her face
that glorious smile helped me to decipher
c understood by "nice" i meant her
n then began our chat
cudnt have missed a chance like that
then the bus stopped
'Golmuri' ws d place
ppl got down
n d seat beside her frnd ws empty
'Shalini' her frnd called
n thus i knew her name
c called her n yelled again
was neglected for second time
sometimes-u dont want to but commit crime
why d hell i said
ur frnd is callin
c gave me a smile n went ahead
i wanted 2 find a place 4 my head.
c kept turning around
I was afraid to look
trying to cut my act
n avoided any eye contact
She turned again n looked back at me
I was full of joy
full of ecstasy
lost in her soulful eyes
look anywhere else?? didnt have time
i thought a bit of staring is no crime
we got down at Sakchi
'Shalini' she said n said 'Abhishek'
made d best effort i cud have made
n asked her no..
She said someday somewhr we cud meet again
I wonder if that happens
but in my memory...she will always remain..
